After being the first NZ first-grade team in any sport to win an Australian-based sporting championship in 2011, the SKYCITY Breakers went back to back in 2012 taking out the Australian National Basketball League in a nail-biting final series against arch-rivals the Perth Wildcats. They then went one step further in 2013 sweeping the Wildcats to record only the second three-peat in the NBL’s history.

After a disappointing 2013/14 ANBL season Coach Vickerman welcomed Cedric Jackson back and the team peaked at the right time to take out the 2014/15 playoffs and make it four titles in five years!
